How to Choose Hinges for a Container Door:

Material: Container door hinges are available in stainless steel or mild steel.

How to Choose Latches for a Container Door:
Latches are what keep your container door closed and safe. Here's how to choose them:
On smaller doors one latch works fine per door. On larger doors two latches may be needed per door.
Fit: Make sure the latch you pick matches the size and style of your container door.

How to Securely Lock a Container Door:
5695 - Bolt On Lock Box Once your door is latched, a lock is needed to prevent unauthorised access. Here are a few lock options.
Padlock - The simplest way to lock your container door is with a padlock. For a more secure option use a padlock with code 5695 Bolt On Container Lock Box. This is a steel case which covers to the padlock to prevent tampering.
Another option is a 5672 Container Door Lock, which attaches around the latch on each door, covering the join and preventing them from being swung open.
The third option to lock a container door is the 4807 Container Door One Touch Latch. This is a great option for doors which are accessed frequently. It is easy to operate when opening your door, and automatically locks when the handle is fitted. This keeps your container safe.
These container door lock options can be used on their own or together. If the container is in a high risk area, multiple locking options can deter and prevent break-ins.
How to Seal a Container Door:
1225 - Corner Tabs Seals keep your container door weatherproof and secure. Here's how to seal it up right:
Type of Seal: The seal most typically used on containers is J Seal. Seals prevent weather and debris from getting into the container, keeping your contents protected.
Seal material: The two types of J Seal are Rubber and PVC. The rubber seal comes in black and is made entirely of rubber for a flexible seal. The PVC has a hard side which butts into the door and is often fastened through to secure. The other edge is flexible, allowing movement against the frame to close and seal the door.
Pro tip: When installing PVC seal, use 1225 Reinforcing Corner Tabs to cover and strengthen the mitred corners.
Container Accessories - Vents
Vents help keep the air flowing in your container to stop it from getting damp inside. A popular choice for containers is the 1066 Solar Vent Fan. This can blow air in or extract, depending on which fan blade is used. This doesn't require external power, moving 15CFM in daylight and stopping at night.
